Kaikoura swimming with dolphins

The most amazing trip ever. Slightly scary as the cyclone that had hit the  coromandel over night was meant to be heading down the east coast towards Kaikoura during at some stage and there was a severe seasickness warning and risk of not being able to swim. However we got out before the worst  of it and managed to swim with 200 wild dusky dolphins. AMAZING!!!!!

Ok....so it was slightly grey due to the storm and I didn't capture a dolphin properly doing a somersult but I will blame that on the fact that we were too busy in the water swimming!

Killer Whales! Possibly the best bit - because they are not local and are spotted once a month and never follow the boat so closely - especially with the little calfs. There were loads of them but the dont pop up for long!!

Now back at the Wigley's before we head over to Aus so have time to load up some more pictures. Not quite in the right order but these are the best so had to put them up first.

Milford Sounds Cruise (seals and penguins)

The weather was a bit shitty in the evening but we soon cheered up after spotting a couple
of penguins and loads of seals!

Our overnight cruise ship

Were now in Queenstown and had a night out last night with some lovely girls that we met on our cruise. Contemplating a bungy over the next couple of days but may just settle for white water rafting. We will see. xx

Lake Matheson and the Hot Pools in Franz

So the weather was pretty shit still when we arrived in Franz Josef so decided to go to the hot pools which were amazing!!

Lake Matheson last yesterday (you are meant to be able to see the reflection of the mountains in the water on a clear day but there was just sooo much cloud! Gutting!

Beautiful cafe that "you can see the mountains from' (if its not a rain storm!)

We decided to get up early and make the most of the glorious weather to visit "Reflection Island" and finally saw the beautiful relection!! YIPPPPEEEE

Off to do a Heli-hike this afternoon for 4hrs and then heading down to Milford Sound to do an overnight cruise tomorrow night. A bit of a rush again but the weathers meant to be turning again on sunday morning so want to make the most of the sunshine!

Road trip from Picton - Franz Josef (severe weather change)

The sea turned brown from all the flood water
Waterfalls that were pouring left right and centre from all the rain water

Our journey got cut short as the roads were flooded and only 4x4's could get through!

So we had a slight change of plan due to severe weather warnings and galeforce winds (didn't want to hang around at Abel Tasman) so used the wet days to drive south to Franz! Hoping to do the Heli hike tomorrow morning as weathers clearing up already and looking good for tomorrow. Hope your impressed with the amount of photos that we have put up today. Lots of love to all, Chloe and BangBang xxxxx

Tongariro Crossing (20km hike)

Emerald Lakes

Looking knackered after the steep climb followed by a hairy decent!!

The pictures don't really justify the amazing views and how far we could see, but gives you an idea!

Sky Dive (arghhhhhh)
